Former Indonesian president Abdurrahman Wahid, or Gur Dur, who died here Wednesday evening will be given a state funeral today in his birthplace in Jombang, East Java, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono announced here Wednesday night.
Speaking at a news conference at the Presidential Palace here, Susilo said he himself would oversee the funeral while the head of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Taufik Kiemas, headed the ceremony to bring Gus Dur’s body from his residence in Ciganjur to East Java.

Delta Northwest 253
Abdul Mudallad Nigerian tried to blow up Flight 253. Mudallad’s name popped up on Terror Watch List Database, said Rep Peter King of New York on CNN today. Rep King is a ranking GOP member of the House Homeland Security Committee. Rep King said the Nigerian suspect claimed to have links with Al Qaeda and other extremist organizations. The terror suspect also divulged that the explosive device was procured in Yemen with instructions on how to use it on board.

Delta Northwest Airlines flight 253
The 23-year-old Nigerian national ‘Abdul Mudallad’suspect who was on board the Detroit bound plane Flight 253 from Amsterdam attempted to detonate an explosive or some kind of device on board when he was restrained by the passengers, CNN’s national security contributor told CNN.
The Delta Northwest Flight 253 suspect, who is a Nigerian national claims to have affiliation with some extremist organization, CNN reported in its 6 o’ clock news bulletin today.
